Our Process
Applying passion and vision to construction
We understand your home is important to you – it is a place to unwind, relax and spend quality time with family and friends. We also know it is likely to be the biggest investment you will make. Below is an outline of our building process which ensures this can be achieved.
Initial Consultation
You will receive an enquiry questionnaire to complete.
Meet onsite with our builder, Richard Waterfield, to discuss your construction options, budgets and desired outcomes.
We discuss what style home or renovation you have in mind and we will recommend the architects, designers and other professional consultants most suitable to your needs. We then work as a team to give you the best design. Or, alternatively, if you already have your own detailed plans and are ready to start building, all your requirements will be noted in order to prepare a detailed quotation.
Quotation and Contracts
A detailed quotation is prepared based on designs, plans, site costs and all other inclusions. We’ll discuss changes and additions to the project and gain your approval to proceed with the works. We prepare a contract for you to sign, using a plain English contract provided by the HIA. We also develop a timeline program for the project and arrange a start date.
Selections and Construction
Working together, we will make all the relevant selections necessary for the start of construction. Once construction is underway, Richard will provide daily updates on the progress of the build and will hold weekly site meetings to show you exactly what is happening throughout the construction process.
Completion and Handover
We carry out a detailed inspection of the completed works with you one week prior to handover and rectify anything that needs attention before final acceptance and occupation. During this process all necessary certificates are compiled and sent to the certifier so the final certificate can be issued. At the final handover all necessary warranties and instruction manuals as well as keys and remote controls are handed to you.
We attend to any issues that require attention during the defect’s liability period.
“I hoped, but didn’t expect, to find a builder that takes this much pride in his work. It was not done until it was done right. Richard and his team are craftsmen; not cookie-cutting manufacturers.”
